  Mary was born into a land owning family at Rossmanagher near Limerick, to parents Henry d'Esterre (III) and Mary Busteed. She was one of 8 children and must have been named after her Mother. She married Thomas Hemsworth on the 8th Jan 1782, who was from a landed family in the township of Abbeville, in Tipperary. They went on to have 5 children together, of whom Elizabeth / Eliza is the significant one for this family tree.
