1881 Census for John Charles and Louisa Whitty who were living in Norfolk

He and Louisa are living at Brakfield (?) Lodge (referred to in other records as The Lodge), in the parish of Old Buckenham 'Lieutenant Madras Army retired, now farmer 257 acres, employs 8 men, 6 women, 2 boys'. So aged 70 he's moved again, and is farming in the flat county of Norfolk. Louisa his wife is aged 57 and with them are children Jane 21, Harold 16 and Hilda 15, as well as 4 domestic servants (including a governess to teach the younger 2 children). There is also an 1875 Norfolk post office directory which says John Charles is renting The Lodge in Old Buckenham from Arthur Cockell Esq. The same record says J.C. Whitty is running Lodge Farm. Old Buckenham is about 10 miles south of Norwich.
