rather strangely Philip and Harrietta are staying at Eastham Rd Ladies School along with half a dozen teenage pupils and a couple of governesses. Either they owned the school and were running it as a business, or they were staying overnight during the census (But they weren't registered as visitor so that doesn't make sense).
Francis M Ladbrooke aged 38 is a visitor at the same address. 10 years later she is living as a boarder with Phillip in London, after his wife died, and they then got married.
